Twitch streamer Asmongold slammed YouTube Gaming as a streaming platform, saying Mixer is better than YouTube too.

It’s not uncommon for content creators to be sharing their thoughts on the most popular streaming platforms these days, namely Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. However, it’s much rarer for someone to openly criticize a platform they don’t belong to, perhaps to avoid the connection. But that’s what Twitch streamer Asmongold did during a recent broadcast. Asmongold slammed YouTube Gaming, even going so far as to say that the old Mixer was better than YouTube.

Asmongold’s comments are the result of watching a video of Ludwig, in which Ludwig comments on YouTube Gaming’s “discoveries” of how easily potential new viewers can find ways they like but don’t know about. Ludwig is far from adding to the platform’s discoveries for streamers, despite a deal with YouTube Gaming. When Asmongold thinks Ludwig is holding back about his contract, he decides to speak out about what he thinks he’s trying to say.

According to Asmongold, YouTube Gaming is salvageable, its “live” stream. “This is probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” showing how strong Asmongold is against YouTube Gaming, likely referring to streaming platform landing pages. As if that weren’t enough, Asmongold claims that YouTube gaming isn’t even as good as a blender and mixer “in the bathroom.”

If YouTube’s business was involved in the streaming, Asmongold says he thinks it’s “in the dumpster.” Asmongold is essentially saying that YouTube games The Mixer would have become obsolete if it didn’t have its video content and alphabet behind it to support it. This is what Asmongold thinks is the important discovery for a streaming platform, or maybe how badly Asmongold thinks YouTube Gaming is currently handling the discovery for game streaming.

Asmongold isn’t joking about YouTube Gaming, he’s insulting it, although he’s certainly part of his Twitch audience. Instead, it’s lobbying YouTube Gaming to make improvements to its live-streaming landing page and overall gaming channel discovery. Asmongold makes Twitch look like a hammer in hopes YouTube Gaming isn’t happy with the negative attention and feels compelled to make some changes.

What’s also interesting about Asmongold’s perspective is that it’s a streamer that also supports other streamers on different platforms. Asmongold is a twitch stream that watches videos from the YouTube gaming stream and supports their ratings to make YouTube gaming better for bigger streamers. It’s an exciting solidarity effort between Twitch and YouTube.
