The 36-year-old star, who began her career as a child actress on Nickelodeon before quitting the business over ten years ago due to personal reasons, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2019 but is currently enrolled in cosmetology school with the goal of becoming a manicurist.
To become a manicurist, she said on Instagram, “In Cosmetology College!”
The “She’s the Man” star previously admitted that, although she has no desire to return to acting, it would be “fun” to reprise her role as Holly Tyler on the sitcom “What I Like About You,” which she costarred on with Jennie Garth between 2002 and 2006. The actress was under a conservatorship arrangement governed by her parents for almost a decade until 2022 after struggling with drug and mental health issues.
I miss working with them and desire to work with them again, she added. Despite the fact that I don’t miss acting, I would be willing to do it for this resurrection because I enjoyed the show. Having the show go on would be fantastic.”
The actress from “Hairspray” is reportedly returning to school, just months after it was revealed that she had split up with her fiance, Paul Mitchell, after a two-year romance, despite earlier assertions that they had only called off their engagement.
As per a source: “They are still in a relationship, but they have postponed getting engaged and arranging their wedding. They have had ups and downs personally and collectively, and they have come to the realization that they may have moved too soon, but they still really care for and are dedicated to one another.”
