The Para badminton schedule for the next season now includes competitions in Spain and the United Arab Emirates. It indicates that there will be 17 tournaments on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) schedule in 2019, all of which must be included in the Paralympic qualification process.

The two new tournaments are the Spanish Para-Badminton International in Cartagena from March 1 to 5 and the Dubai Para-Badminton International from December 13 to 17.

Five Continental Championships are among the twelve tournaments in the Para-Badminton World Circuit. This role is expected to be filled by the Parapan American Games in Santiago and the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.

There will be competitions on the Para-Badminton World Circuit in eleven nations. In Tokyo 2020, badminton had its Paralympic debut. It will return to in Paris 2024.

A quota of 120 competitors has been allocated to the BWF, and 16 medal events, up from 14 in Tokyo 2020, are scheduled. In the capital of Japan, Asian shutters took home 13 gold medals, with China leading the way with five gold and a total of ten.

Three further competitions are currently scheduled in 2024 before the Paris 2024 qualification window closes on March 31, 2024. The Pattaya World Championships are one of those occasions.
